We have specialist toy shops in Mont Albert, Norwood, Hobart & Launceston.

 We regularly seek applicants for casual and full time shop assistants, pick-packers and other retail positions.

Skills required


You probably will have completed tertiary education, or be undertaking it currently as a student. You may have worked for a period in your discipline. Basic spelling and maths skills are essential, neat hand writing will be an asset.

Leadership skills

It will be an asset if you can give examples of these in any capacity. If you have no leadership experience, the ability and willingness to learn and develop these skills is needed.


We will be looking for enthusiastic, honest people supportive of other staff members, showing an ability to work alone or in a team at varying stress levels, a sense of humour, confidence when communicating directly with customers and on phone and a willingness and capacity to learn.

Computer literate

General computer literacy is important and previous use of a point of sale program is an advantage.

Word - typing speed and accuracy. Excel - an advantage in some positions.
MYOB - an advantage in some positions.

Communication skills

You should have the ability to talk with professionals in areas of childcare, kindergarten, primary school and special needs, be a logical thinker and be sensitive to their needs.

Shop experience

If you have prior shop experience we will be seeking references in this area. Product knowledge of toys, educational and special needs equipment is an asset. POS and cash register experience would be an advantage.

Health and general fitness

We are seeking physically active people. You will need to carry stock items and boxes as well as walk up and down stairs.
