The sound changes according to the length and shape the child chooses for the pipes. Xylopipes has open tubes which act as resonators, amplifying the sounds. The pitch of the notes can be varied by changing length and shape using the 40 pieces included. The various sounds are made by hitting the open pipes with the sticks provided.
